Limagito Lite occupies an odd position in the world of automated move/copy/delete utilities. Its many features and customization opportunities, including the ability to execute external commands, make it ideal for power users with complex file management needs. But this Lite version is limited in many ways--it supports only a single rule, for example, and does not support encryption or external scripts--making it an unlikely option for such users.
Still, as a complex advertisement for its single ($59.95) and corporate licenses (starting at $300), Limagito Lite does tantalize with visions of automating complex file-naming and management tasks across multiple locations. You start by creating a moving rule. For that rule, you may customize several settings, including source and destination, encryption and verification, and dozens of options pertaining to file handling. An additional tabbed interface offers scheduling, logging, and connectivity options, among others. The granularity of options is nearly overwhelming, but a clean UI with plenty of tool tips reduces the panic factor. The software comes with a 45-page Help file; sadly, this is located in a PDF file that you must find using the Windows Start menu. Moreover, the PDF's screenshots, while comprehensive, come from the sitewide version, and the images and features do not always match what is available in Limagito Lite.
Limago Lite offers an impressive array of features for moving, copying, and deleting files. Although a beginner user could find some use in Limago Lite, the breadth and depth of features make it better for advanced users.

Thank you so much..i will give this a try. I know so little. I really appreciate you helping me so quickly…I have told many people about your product. Also, I wanted to mention to you (if you haven’t already pursued this idea), that Medical Transcription Companies are an ideal target for Limagito. They could actually be a huge market for you… (I use it to download Voice files (medical dictations) and then route them to various transcriptionists that work for me. Then I use the other threads to retrieve the completed reports and return them to the physicians offices. I also have the physicians download the single thread version to send me their files! Just FYI…

Powerful ftp stuff
I've been trying and buying stuff off of SnapFiles for at least a couple years. This is my first review. This program does some very interesting things. The developer was helpful with the questions I had. The only negative is the documentation is not as comprehensive as it could be BUT the developer is working on updating it. Although the doc is not where I'd like to see it, the developer was gracious in clarifying areas I was confused. Clearing up my questions didn't take much, just a few sentences from the developer. Bottom line, if you have to move or copy files from a FTP site or network, this thing ROCKS !!! It is worth being patient with to learn it. I'm going box-by-box to get an understanding of all its features, think I'm going to have lots of uses other than the thing I originally needed this program for.

There is probably not much left of what you could do with copy / move file this programm can't. Allthoug the Interface is not straight forward and the time until you get the "grip" is higher as in other tools, this one is amazing. I love it every day more. There is so much to explore. I asked myself if it is worth buying the Full Version and I did buy it mainly out of my support ethics for good shareware programmers and I did not regret it. No more sorting my downloads myself, Limagito does it for me.

If you need to move/copy/delete files locally or by ftp and you think you cannot do it with this program then look closer because you probably will discover that it is possible. Very powerful.

Limagito Lite accomplishes a simple, and often very annoying, task: moving or copying files automatically between folders. This free utility is ideal not only for moving or copying files en masse, but also as a kind of quick-and-dirty file backup. You can have it automatically move files not only between folders on your local PC, but also via FTP to a Web-based directory.
If you want to perform sophisticated copying or moving tasks, be prepared to spend a bit of time learning how to use the program, because it can be daunting at first. There are plenty of options, and it can be tough to figure out how to use them all. But if you want to do something simple, such as merely copying or moving files either in normal fashion of via FTP, it's straightforward to use.
Limagito Lite allows you only to create a single rule for copying or moving files. If you want to create multiple rules, you'll have to get the for-pay version.
